A place like no other near Stowe in Vermont
Moss Glen Falls is located in eastern Stowe, close to C.C. Putnam State Forest. This beautiful attraction consists of a sequence of waterfalls. To reach the falls, you can embark on the Moss Glen Falls Trail, which is approximately 4 miles long. Starting from the trailhead, you’ll find Moss Glen Falls just a quarter mile away. By following the trail to the right, you’ll arrive at the base of the falls. If you continue straight instead of turning right, you’ll discover an elevated viewpoint of the upper falls.
Hiking is best during days without snow and ice, as recommended by previous visitors. Sliding becomes more likely in winter, making the upper part of the trail very difficult. If you don’t feel confident in your fitness level, it’s better to stick to the mostly flat lower section. Make sure to wear suitable hiking shoes with good traction. Additionally, remain attentive while driving to the falls because the parking lot can be challenging to find.
