Trip ideas while visiting Arches National Park in Utah
The state of Utah has a truly remarkable natural treasure known as Delicate Arch. This incredible arch is widely recognized as the most famous one in the world. Its impressive opening measures 46 feet in height and 32 feet in width, making it the largest free-standing arch within the park. Over time, Delicate Arch has come to symbolize the beauty and majesty of Utah.
For a closer view of the arch, there’s a trail available. It’s a 3-mile round-trip hike that goes uphill by 480 feet. Along the way, you’ll come across the Wolfe Ranch cabin and a wall displaying Ute Indian petroglyphs. The trail is labeled as “difficult” due to its lack of shade, steady ascent, and a narrow rock ledge that you’ll have to traverse for about 200 yards. It’s recommended that you evaluate your physical fitness before embarking on this climb.
