A place like no other near Arches National Park in Utah
Just outside of Arches National Park, there’s a popular attraction that you won’t want to miss during your park visit. It’s a moderate 3-mile roundtrip hike starting from the parking lot, which is about 10 miles away from the park entrance. Along this scenic hike, you’ll cross railroad tracks and encounter impressive walls of red rocks. To continue, you’ll climb up a ladder integrated into the rock, leading you to a spacious bowl-shaped area. As you walk, you’ll also pass under Bowtie Arch, giving you a view of the vibrant blue sky above. Finally, you’ll reach the magnificent Corona Arch, spanning 140 feet wide, often regarded as one of the best attractions in the region.
At the base of the arch, there’s plenty of space to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the canyon below. It’s recommended to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon to get the best experience. Unlike other popular arches in the park, this one doesn’t usually get too crowded, so you don’t have to worry about beating the rush. To reach Corona Arch from downtown Moab, simply drive north on U.S. Highway 191 towards Potash Road (U.S. Highway 279). The drive covers around 17 miles and offers picturesque scenery along the Colorado River. One of the best things about this arch is that it’s located outside the national park, meaning you can explore it for free.
