When to Visit

The ideal time to visit Dallas is from September to November. During these months, the weather is pleasant, the tourist crowds are less, and the famous State Fair of Texas is in full swing. However, keep in mind that hotel prices can be higher during the Cowboys football season, especially in the Metroplex areas surrounding Dallas and Fort Worth. To avoid paying inflated prices, check the team’s home game schedule beforehand. Another good time to visit is from March to May when the temperatures are comfortable, and you can enjoy the beautiful blooming flowers. Although summer brings hot temperatures in the 90s and high humidity levels, it is considered the peak season in Dallas, which means hotel costs will be higher. If you’re looking for deals, consider visiting from December to February, but be aware that the weather won’t be exceptionally warm. In the DFW area, you can experience all four seasons, with winter temperatures averaging in the 50s.
