Enjoy it while visiting Gatlinburg in Tennessee
The Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area is a year-round destination. From mid-December to mid-March, winter enthusiasts can enjoy skiing and snowboarding, while those who prefer not to hit the slopes can have fun snow tubing. The amusement park welcomes visitors throughout the year and provides various rides, such as a mountain coaster, an indoor ice skating rink, a kiddie park, as well as shops, restaurants, and a small zoo. While the resort itself doesn’t offer accommodations, it conveniently sits just a few miles away from Gatlinburg, making it easy to find lodging. You can reach the resort by driving (weather permitting) or taking the aerial tram from downtown.
The ski instructors at the park received high praise from winter visitors. However, these visitors expressed frustration over the long lines and limited availability of tickets for snow tubing during weekends and holidays. The demand for this activity greatly surpasses the reservation times. Nonetheless, recent travelers were delighted by the magnificent views offered by the aerial tram. They also enjoyed the diverse dining and shopping choices available at the park. Another highlight for them was the exhilarating mountain coaster ride. However, some travelers felt that the facility could benefit from additional maintenance.
