The Shriver House Museum, like the Jennie Wade House, provides a glimpse into the lives of Gettysburg residents during the Civil War. Step inside this restored 19th-century house that belonged to the Shriver family to discover artifacts such as 10 Civil War bullets, medical supplies, and various furnishings. This historical home has served multiple purposes throughout its existence, including being a residence, a saloon, a two-lane bowling alley, and even a hospital for wounded soldiers. Notably, Confederate troops briefly took control of the property during the Battle of Gettysburg. Tragically, two soldiers lost their lives in the attic.
