Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Library is a tribute to the beloved figure known as “America’s Pastor.” Situated just a short distance from Graham’s childhood home, this sprawling site spans 20 acres and is conveniently situated less than 10 miles southwest of Uptown. Visitors have the opportunity to explore various attractions, including the restored Graham family home, which has been refurbished using 80% of its original materials. Additionally, Graham’s personal book collection, consisting of nearly 4,000 titles, is on display for enthusiasts to peruse. The library also features a Christian bookstore, an exhibit called “Journey of Faith” that provides insight into Graham’s remarkable life, the tranquil Memorial Prayer Garden, and a delightful lunch eatery called the Dairy Bar.
The grounds of Graham’s place have received positive feedback from past visitors. They consider it a must-see attraction and have described it as “peaceful” and “moving.” The library, Graham’s personal memorabilia, and the garden are among the highlights. Even those who weren’t familiar with Graham found it to be a nice place to visit, though not necessarily essential. Nonetheless, many agreed that the absence of an admission fee made it worthwhile, even for those who didn’t have much knowledge about Graham or his family.
