A place like no other near Glacier National Park in Montana
More than 1,500 hikers explore this trail every day because of its breathtaking beauty. When you reach the midway point, prepare to be amazed by the stunning views at Hidden Lake Overlook. From there, you can see mountains, valleys, and even Sperry Glacier (remember to bring binoculars for a better view). Finally, at the end of the trail, you will discover the lake itself. It’s important to note that the first half of the trail goes uphill, gaining 460 feet in elevation, while the second half descends 780 feet to reach the lake.
If you decide to hike this trail, previous hikers have praised it. However, they mention that it can be quite challenging because it’s all uphill until you reach the overlook. Some hikers suggest wearing sturdy shoes, carrying bear spray, and bringing enough water, especially if you plan to hike down to the lake. To avoid large crowds and secure a parking spot at Logan Pass, it’s recommended to start your hike early in the morning, ideally before 7 a.m.
