Trip ideas while visiting Boston in Massachusetts

Freedom Trail

Boston’s famous Freedom Trail stretches for about 2½ miles and offers a delightful journey through the city’s rich history. Along this trail, you’ll come across 16 significant landmarks, such as Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the Paul Revere House, and Old North Church. Exploring all these attractions may take at least half a day, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Before embarking on your adventure from Boston Common, it’s helpful to plan out the points of interest you want to visit.

The trail is generally easy to follow, but some people suggest taking a guided tour or using an app for information. There are various apps you can download for your Apple or Android device. If you have a Go Boston Card, you can enjoy the standard guided tours provided by the Freedom Trail Foundation without any extra cost.
