Chicago Children’s Museum

The Chicago Children’s Museum, situated at Navy Pier, provides a variety of play-based exhibits for babies, toddlers, and kids aged 4 and above. It was established in 1982 by the Junior League of Chicago in response to reductions in arts programming. Initially, the museum occupied two hallways in what is now known as the Chicago Cultural Center. Today, children can explore the “Dinosaur Expedition” exhibit by digging for “teeth” and “bones.” They can also enjoy climbing through the tunnels of “Cloud Buster,” engage their STEAM skills in the Tinkering Lab, and get creative in the art studio by painting, drawing, or sewing.

Visitors who have come by recently had a great time exploring interactive exhibits that provide a hands-on experience. These exhibits were particularly enjoyable for young children.
