The Bass

A place like no other near Miami Beach in Florida

The Bass

The Bass is a modern art museum situated in Collins Park, just a few steps away from the beach. It showcases a diverse range of international contemporary art across various mediums such as sculpture, design, fashion, and architecture. The museum is located in a charming 1930s art deco building that used to be the Miami Beach Public Library and Art Center. While the exhibitions inside the gallery change every few months, The Bass has a permanent collection that includes outdoor public art in Collins Park. One of the major highlights is Ugo Rondinone’s Miami Mountain sculpture, consisting of five boulders stacked 42 feet high and painted in different vibrant colors. This artwork has become an iconic spot for capturing memorable photos.
