The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

A highly recommended destination for travelers is The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which was built and named in honor of America’s beloved president from Camelot. This center is home to the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera, and it offers a wide range of dance, theater, and musical performances all year round. While ticket prices can be a bit pricey, you have the opportunity to enjoy a performance for free on the Millennium Stage.

In 2022, The Kennedy Center introduced a new permanent exhibit called “Art and Ideals: President John F. Kennedy.” This immersive exhibit allows visitors to delve into the connection between Kennedy’s presidency and the arts, and it is offered to the public at no cost. Additionally, the center features the REACH, an expansive indoor/outdoor complex that includes an art gallery, sculpture garden, classrooms, studios, lecture halls, a video wall, and various interactive spaces.
