Dubbed the “Nation’s Christmas Tree” by President Calvin Coolidge, the colossal tree is known as Ulysses S. Grant and holds the rank of the second-largest sequoia globally (with General Sherman taking the lead) and the third-largest tree overall. Reaching a staggering height of around 270 feet, this magnificent tree boasts a trunk circumference measuring an impressive 107 feet. Its trunk weighs an estimated 565 tons and its age is believed to range between 3,000 and 4,000 years.
