However, the Santa Barbara County Courthouse is an exception to this notion. Built in 1929, the courthouse amazes visitors with its beautifully detailed tile mosaics, vibrant gardens, and breathtaking panoramic vistas of the city and ocean below.
When you have the opportunity, make sure to visit the clock tower in the Bisno Schall Clock Gallery. You’ll be amazed by the functioning clock displayed there. The gallery is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. As you explore the clock, take a moment to admire the remarkable 60-foot mural that showcases the history of timekeeping.
