Enjoy it while visiting Santa Barbara in California
The Santa Barbara Mission, located in the northwest part of town, provides a fascinating look into the early origins of the city. It’s conveniently situated just four blocks away from State Street.
In 1786, the Santa Barbara Mission was established as Spain’s tenth effort to colonize the region and spread Roman Catholicism among the native population. Today, this mission continues to serve as a place of worship and also houses a museum that showcases colonial artifacts and historic photographs depicting the early days of the area.
