Lands End

Enjoy it while visiting San Francisco in California

Lands End

Lands End, located in the wonderful city of San Francisco, is a perfect spot to witness the breathtaking sunset. This charming place boasts meandering trails that lead you through picturesque rocky cliffs. Situated in the northwestern part of the city, Lands End finds its home within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Within this park, you’ll find numerous historic sites, monuments, a variety of trails, and even a shoreline labyrinth. From here, you can enjoy magnificent views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

The park’s trails and the breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and other San Francisco landmarks are often praised by visitors. One of the highlights is the historic ruins of the Sutro Baths, once a popular swimming facility for San Franciscans from 1898 to 1964. Although the baths were demolished in 1964 and later damaged by a fire in 1966, travelers can still explore the remaining structure today. The famous Cliff House, located in the park, has also faced destruction twice due to fires but has been rebuilt each time. For those interested in culture, a visit to the nearby Legion of Honor museum is a must. Here, you’ll find a variety of European paintings, decorative arts, sculptures, and ancient art from the Mediterranean region. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, welcoming visitors between 9:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Admission fees are $15 for adults, while children 17 and younger can enter for free.
