Trip ideas while visiting San Diego in California

SeaWorld San Diego

San Diego’s beaches, especially Pacific and Mission beaches, offer wildlife sightings, but nothing compares to the captivating performances at SeaWorld. At this marine park, you’ll have the opportunity to witness an array of fascinating animals, including dolphins, California sea lions, California otters, and sea turtles, among others. If you’re seeking thrills, the Manta roller coaster is a favorite among visitors for its lightning-fast speed. However, if you prefer staying dry, it’s best to avoid the Journey to Atlantis or Shipwreck Rapids rides, as they might leave you soaked. In 2022, SeaWorld introduced the Emperor, which holds the distinction of being California’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, boasting a 14-story vertical drop and reaching speeds of up to 60 mph.

For a more relaxed experience, explore the park’s animal exhibits. Immerse yourself in the underwater shark-viewing tunnel or visit the penguin habitat, home to nearly 400 adorable penguins. Additionally, included in your SeaWorld general admission ticket is the Sesame Street Bay of Play, a delightful area featuring a range of wet and dry playgrounds, a bounce house, a climbing structure, and smaller rides designed for children and toddlers.

Visitors who recently went to SeaWorld had a great time, especially those who brought their children along. They had a blast watching the shows, and many people loved the dolphin show in particular. It’s important to arrive early because the lines can get long. If you plan on going, make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring an extra jacket or clothes just in case you get wet from the rides or shows. There’s a splash zone in most areas. Some visitors didn’t bring spare clothes, and they regretted it because walking around the park while wet was uncomfortable. They also found the clothing at the park to be quite expensive.
