Palm Springs Art Museum

The Palm Springs Art Museum, established in 1938, has an impressive collection that includes works by landscape painter Thomas Moran and glass artist Dale Chihuly. In addition to the permanent collection of over 12,000 works displayed in its 28 galleries, the museum offers rotating exhibits covering various art forms such as impressionism, contemporary sculpture, pop and graphic art, and architecture. Don’t forget to check out the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center, located less than a mile south of the main museum, and the historic Frey House II, which was the residence of architect Albert Frey.

The Palm Springs Art Museum has been described by recent visitors as a “cultural oasis” with “wonderful” exhibits. People also liked that it’s not too big, making it possible to explore everything in just an hour or two. Additionally, on Thursday evenings, you can enjoy free entry to the museum without needing to make any reservations.
