One more place to enjoy near Napa Valley in California
In 1880, a Scottish writer found himself in the beautiful Napa Valley. The reason? Love, of course! He and his wife chose this picturesque location for their honeymoon. This memorable experience inspired him to write a travel memoir called “Silverado Squatters.” If you’re curious about this significant visit and want to discover more, head over to the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum.
Back in 1969, a passionate book lover named Norman H. Strouse had a wonderful idea. He wanted to establish a special place that would honor the beloved author of “Treasure Island.” And thus, the museum came into existence! Though it may be small, it is divided into four distinct sections: archive, fine art, library, and a collection of items related to Stevenson himself.
