A place like no other near Napa Valley in California
When you visit the Jarvis Estate, prepare to be amazed by a unique winery and winemaking facility. Imagine stepping into a cavernous mountain, where a 45,000-square-foot cave awaits you. Nestled just over 5 miles northeast of downtown Napa, this extraordinary location offers a one-of-a-kind experience.
Caves are perfect for wineries to store their aging wine barrels because of the consistent temperature and humidity they provide. The founder of the estate, William Jarvis, collaborated with a geotechnical engineer and utilized the University of California, Berkeley’s enormous computer to construct and design the winery’s spacious chambers. When visitors take a tasting tour, they will have the opportunity to see these chambers as well as explore the rest of the cave.
