A place like no other near Joshua Tree National Park in California
Located east of the Ryan Campgrounds, this delightful 1-mile loop trail offers a wonderful hiking experience. Along the way, visitors will have the opportunity to explore remnants of historic adobe buildings from the 1800s, providing a glimpse into the past. Originally constructed by J.D. Ryan, who managed a nearby mine, this compound consisted of a main house, a bunkhouse, and another building. It’s fascinating to imagine what life was like in this once sprawling property.
Visitors who have been to the hike described it as an easy one, and they were deeply moved by the remnants of the homestead they discovered along the way.
