One more place to enjoy near Joshua Tree National Park in California
If you don’t want to miss out on an incredible view, make sure to visit this viewpoint. From its 5,185-foot elevation, you’ll get a magnificent panoramic view of the Coachella Valley. Take a short 0.2-mile loop trail that leads to the ridge, where you can behold breathtaking sights. Look down and you’ll see the Salton Sea, located 230 feet below sea level. On the horizon, you’ll spot the majestic Santa Rosa Mountains, as well as the impressive 10,800-foot San Jacinto Peak behind Palm Springs. And don’t forget to take a moment to appreciate the vastness of the San Andreas Fault, stretching 700 miles from the Gulf of California to the Mendocino Coast north of San Francisco. Visitors who have been here before are simply amazed by the awe-inspiring views.
