As you navigate the botanical garden, you’ll be treated to stunning panoramic views from Thunder Mountain, including sights of the Mendenhall Valley, Mendenhall Wetlands, Gastineau Channel, Douglas Island, and the Chilkat Mountains in the distance.
The garden is a delightful place to visit, according to recent travelers. They loved the beautiful flowers and scenic views, making it a must-see destination. One of the highlights that impressed reviewers were the “upside down trees” or “flower towers.” These unique trees have their tops buried in the ground and their roots positioned upwards, forming a basket where blooming flowers thrive.
