Enjoy it while visiting Jackson Hole in Wyoming
Consider a trip to the Snow King Resort in Jackson if you want to combine your downhill run with a touch of history. This ski area was established back in 1939, making it Wyoming’s very first. Winter sports enthusiasts have been drawn to Snow King ever since for its fantastic Jackson powder. The resort offers over 400 acres of skiable terrain, with 110 acres available for night skiing, and a vertical drop of 1,571 feet.
If you’re new to skiing, keep in mind that only half of Snow King’s runs are designed for beginners and intermediates. For a gentler skiing experience, you might want to check out Grand Targhee instead. Snow King Resort also features designated areas for snowboarding and tubing, as well as an ice rink and affordable lodging options.
Visitors who have recently traveled to the resort have mentioned that it appears somewhat outdated. However, they did appreciate its convenient location near the town of Jackson, which is less than a mile away and easily accessible via the Start bus. Compared to other popular destinations in the area, this proximity was a plus point. Travelers highly recommended taking a ski lift ride to enjoy breathtaking mountain views. Additionally, if you happen to visit during the summer, don’t miss out on the opportunity to go on the alpine slide, especially if you’re accompanied by children. It’s an experience that shouldn’t be skipped!
