Enjoy it while visiting New Orleans in Louisiana
Welcome to Studio Be, a remarkable warehouse facility located in New Orleans’ vibrant Bywater district. This awe-inspiring space showcases an array of captivating public art that will leave you in awe. Created by the talented Brandan “BMike” Odums in collaboration with over 40 other artists, these large-scale murals and exhibits delve into the realms of activism, resistance, and Black American history. Using spray paint and graffiti techniques, the artists poured their creativity into this project, which required six months to complete. Spanning an impressive 35,000 square feet, Studio Be comprises four buildings and can extend up to five stories high. As the largest single-site public art exhibition in the American South, it draws visitors from around the world who are eager to experience its captivating displays firsthand.
The art displayed at the facility has been described as “powerful” by many recent visitors. It is definitely worth the $15 general admission price, according to almost everyone who went. If you fall into any of these categories - student, teacher, senior, or first responder - your ticket will cost $10. For children aged 12 and below, tickets are priced at $5. The exhibits are open from Wednesday to Saturday between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can find the warehouses on Royal Street, close to several other galleries and studios.
