Enjoy it while visiting New Orleans in Louisiana
The New Orleans Museum of Art, also known as NOMA, has been open since 1911. Initially, the museum had only nine artworks, but over time it has gathered an impressive collection of more than 40,000 pieces. As the oldest fine arts institution in Crescent City, NOMA showcases a diverse range of art, including early Asian works and European masterpieces spanning from the 16th to the 20th centuries.
The museum is highly recommended by many art enthusiasts and serves as a wonderful indoor attraction, especially in hot and humid weather. Some visitors mentioned its small size, but this actually works in its favor as you can explore all the exhibits in a single visit. Don’t forget to check out the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, which comes highly recommended.
