A place like no other near Honolulu - Oahu in Hawaii
Situated in Pearl Harbor, just like the Battleship Missouri Memorial, you’ll find the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park. This remarkable submarine played a significant role during World War II, completing nine patrols. It holds a special place in history as one of the 15 remaining U.S. submarines from that era. Today, visitors can explore this historic vessel and immerse themselves in its story through a walk-through exhibit. Adjacent to the submarine is a museum housing an array of war artifacts, including battle flags and a submarine bell. As you venture into the surrounding park, you’ll encounter additional fascinating items on display, such as a cruise missile, a torpedo, and a submarine rescue chamber.
While some previous visitors may have complained about the limited space inside, most people found it worthwhile to experience the cramped living conditions that sailors faced while stationed on this submarine. Many also enjoyed the informative audio tours included with the museum and submarine tickets.
