Rainbow Falls

At Wailuku River State Park, you’ll find the famous Rainbow Falls. This 80-foot waterfall gets its name because the mist from the falls often creates a rainbow. According to legend, Hina, the mother of the demigod Maui, used to live in the cave behind the waterfall. Another attraction in the park is Boiling Pots. These are a collection of pools that are linked by underground channels, causing the water’s surface to bubble like boiling water.

The rainbow is a must-see, especially during the morning. It’s conveniently accessible, so you don’t have to worry about any long hikes. In fact, many travelers agree that it’s a short and enjoyable 15-minute stop. Additionally, the stunning banyan trees at the trail stairs’ summit are worth mentioning as another attraction to check out.
