Don Andres Ximenez constructed a beautiful two-story residence using coquina rock in 1798. Originally intended for his wife, Juana Pellicer, the house underwent a transition in 1830. Margaret Cook acquired the property from the Pellicer family and transformed it into a boarding house exclusively managed by women. This arrangement continued for many years.
