One more place to enjoy near Colorado Springs in Colorado
Located 3.5 miles north of the renowned luxury hotel, The Broadmoor, you’ll find Seven Falls. This captivating attraction showcases seven breathtaking waterfalls that cascade down a total of 180 feet. Nestled within a picturesque box canyon, the falls are surrounded by towering walls that reach an impressive height of 1,250 feet. For over a century, visitors have been drawn to this Colorado Springs landmark, as it has been open to the public since 1883. Back then, admission to the toll road leading to the falls was a mere 10 cents.
At the park entrance, you’ll find a milelong path that leads to the cascades. If walking is difficult for you, don’t worry! There’s an in-park tram available for a small fee of $2. Once you’ve reached the bottom and taken some amazing photos, you can climb up 224 steps next to the rushing water for a fantastic bird’s-eye view from the top of the falls. If hiking is more your style, there’s a network of trails waiting to be explored. Just make sure to wear sturdy shoes for your adventure. Alternatively, if you prefer a shorter route, you can ascend 185 steps or take the elevator to the Eagle’s Nest platform. However, if your goal is to reach the very top of the falls, the only option is to take the stairs.
